Knee problem
During a trek I injured my leg in Jan'15, when pain(intermittent) persisted (Sept 15) i went to the doc who asked for an MRI. 1.5T MRI reports suggest partial ligament and meniscus tear. Can surgery be avoided?

A lot depends on the clinical examination findings and the symptoms in such a case, so as to decide about surgery. in case of persistent and severe pain with locking of knee or instability of the knee, a simple arthroscopic procedure solves the problem. There are few indications for conservative treatment in a young patient, with modification of lifestyle, but a proper clinical examination would suggest the further line of management.
