Knee pain while climbing stairs
My wife was having knee pain while lifting her legs occasionally and while climbing stairs. We went for general consultation with an Ortho Doctor and they asked for an X ray and then Mri. Can someone help what this report indicates. Is there any complications.

There is nothing significant in MRI. Its just ligament sprain. If she is overweight ask her for weight control. Take some basic painkillers as suggested by your doc. Do ice packs, wear a knee cap,  and start with physiotherapy.

The symptoms you mentioned usually are due to erosion of cartilage under your knee cap..With this cartilage loss you might get pain while using stairs, Indian toilet and floor activities.. But MRI done doesn't mention about cartilage loss.. The sprain in ligaments and meniscus might be an incidental finding and not related to your symptoms..
Next Steps
You should benefit with knee strengthening exercises.
Health Tips
Avoid floor activities ,  Indian toilet, stairs etc..
