I recently had an accident and my knee is hurt. Below is the MRI report:
1. Grade 2 tear of ACL
2. Micro fractures noted involving tibial condyles and lateral femoral condyle
3. Radial tear of body of lateral meniscus
4. Moderate to gross joint effusion
5. Grade 1 year of medial patellar retinaculum
Do I need a surgery or can I recover conservatively? Please suggest!!
P.S. I'm a lactating mother.

Due to above injury if you have instability that is affecting activities of daily living then conservative treatment with long knee brace and initial non weight bearing mobilisation with gradual progression to full weight bearing could be tried.
Next Steps
Once symptoms subside, learn knee strengthening exercises under supervision of physiotherapists
No surgery till you are lactating and feeding your kid thit will be decided after that no emergency Consult me search browse on goggle practo website Dr Rajinder sharma senior Orthopaedic neurospine joint Replace surgeon ,42 years expertise chandigarh health Department Govt Multispeciality Hospital retired Chandigarh(U.T)
Keeping aside your report, primarily do you have any symptoms associated with the injury..Like knee giving way , locking , loss is confidance in your knee , difficulty in climbing stairs or coming downstairs..
These symptoms need surgery rather than your MRI report..If you don't have any of these then you can wait for sometime to get fit with properly guided clinical examination first and a staged physiotherapy protocol.
