Alond with rest NSAIDS DOnot forget to take enzymatic combinations like phlogam to recover faster
But of course will take its natural time for recovery
Hello there.....well if you are sure if its only bruise[(are u sure no twisting movements of knee occoured or any instability of the knee u experienced)] as you mentioned....then you can apply any antiseptic cream over it to prevent any possible infection.....also every 4 hourly do icing on your knees so as to prevent any sweeling....... you should feel mild discomfort for 48-72 hrs....but if at all after 3 days you dont feel too comforrable or you get fever and all then do visit a general physician for furthur course of treatment.
Regards & take care.
You should definitely go for orthopaedic consultation but for the time being within 24 hours of injury you should apply ice pack over the bruised knee.
Hi, if the injury is still persisting - after 1-2 days of icing, a physiotherapist can use Ultrasound to quicken the repair and healing process. Also any associated muscle strain one can use sports taping yo off load and support the surrounding muscles.
Hope this helps.
Fastest way.. is certainly to apply oxycream on that bruise but certainly if it's not urgent , let it heal normally, and also applying ICE will help you for relieving pain and swelling.
Next Steps
Apply ICE And let nature take over. if needed any cream FORTIFIED WITH OXYGEN shall Do.
Every injury takes its routine time to heal
You can apply betadine ointment so that it doesn't get infected
You can consume vitamin c suppliments for better healing
Do consult a doctor to rule out need of antibiotics to prevent infection
