My 2.5 year old daughter keeps on rubbing her eyes very often..we wash her eyes with a splash of water or so but still even in sleep she does that alot..and sometimes she complains of a little pain but sometimes..she watches cartoons from our phnlone or ipad but we make sure she maintains a distance and the screen is on night mode..
but even in her sleep with her eyes closed, she rubs her eyes is most worrisome for me..please advise..

Need to rule out allergic disorders ,need to check a photography of eyes to prescribe any medication.Splashing may help with cold water water, medication is must for relief .
It seems to be due to dryness resulting from overusage of mobile.
Since it is her timepass
Hence i will suggest you to restrict the use of mobile and laptop and spare your time to play with her .
Otherwise it may be injurious to ,not only her eyes but also to her physical and mental health.
As of now you can do cold compresses by ice and put some lubricant eye drops eg teardrops 3to 4times daily and ocupol.dx eye oint to be rubbed twice daily on lids.
If any more query ,Please initiate online consultation with anybody
Hello
This could be allergy eye disease
A. Avoid splashing water in eye
B. Cold compresses help
C. Use antiallergic eye drop
Having said that, it is provisional diagnosis.
Kindly share close up pics
I think it would need a little more history and pics of the eyes . From how long has this been happening. Is it the same in both the eyes. Is there any discharge .
