Jaw related issue
So i have been suffering from moderate pain in left side of jaw, unable to open or close mouth like before. I visited a dentist, he asked a few questions regarding the pain area and have taken my imprints. After examining, she concluded my disk is slightly dislocated and one of my muscle is stretched. So what would be the next procedure?i'm a bachelor student and scared of surgery/operation. I would be grateful if anyone could shed some light on this

Hello.basically this is TMJ problem related to the disc. Not to worry. No surgery needed. You start wid physiotherapy (ultrasound therapy) and warm compressions wid warm salt water gargles Take a muscle relaxant like flexon MR to relieve pain. If it doesnt get better then you need to undergo a minimally invasive procedure called arthrocentesis which is joint lavage basically
Next Steps
Take a TMJ open n close view and also OPG

Namaskaram, You could be suffering from a temporo mandibular joint problem. Tmj disorders are the most common problems and can usually addressed with multiple treatment options which include medications ( pain relievers and anti inflamatory meds) , physiotherapy exercises , splints and mouth guards etc . Meanwhile you can do some basic changes in your lifestyle like not using any chewing gums and stickyfoods . Consult your dentist and give a start to your treatment before it gets too complicated .
