Welcome to practo...
I advice you to check for any temperomandibular joint disorders..
Check for any high points in crown if placed..
Take an orthopantamogram and verify the malocclusions..
Mostly wisdom teeth won't cause any sounds..
Consult me for further details..
Thank you..
Hey,
There’s no association between the wisdom tooth and noise that you’ve mentioned.
More likely its associated with underlying jaw problems meaning you Temperomandibular Joint. Normally your jaw and the muscles work together to close and open the mouth., when this doesn’t happens, you have this clicking sounds. There are various reason associated for instance excessive grinding, stress etc.
clicking by itself is not problematic beacuse more than one third people have it normally. However if it’s accompanied by pain or limited jaw function - jaw getting stucked in an open or close position, then it would need treatment.
Hai
Wisdom tooth doesn't make noise, if u are hearing noise while you open your mouth all the time, mostly it is realted to you TMJ. TMJ disorders usually starts with a clicking sound while opening your mouth. It is reversible initially with little care on your chewing and food habbits.stress may also cause TMJ problems.
Next Steps
Have soft diet for a month, limit wide opening of mouth and chew with both side teeth if you have a unilateral chewing habbits. If clicking persist consult with a maxillofacial surgeon.
