Itching under the knees and on hamstring
I take a hot water bath every night before sleeping. I also take Terol LA 2/Roliten 2mg twice a day for my overactive bladder. One of the side effects of this medicine is dry mouth. I am not sure if dry skin is also a side effect.
I also have a lot of hair on my leg in and around the regions indicated above.
Now my itching under and onsides of my thighs and knees has really intensified. There are signs of prickly heat too there.
What are the reasons of such high intensity of itching? What are the possible solutions?

Common reasons for itching and dryness
- Using hot water
- Using harsh soaps(Dettol, Savlon, Niko, Medimix, Tetmosol, Cinthol, Neem soaps). So avoid these soaps.
- Eating hot spicy chilly oily foods
- Medicines for BP, bladder, itching, depression and anxiety can also cause dryness of skin
- Family or personal history of asthma, frequent cold, cough, sinusitis, dry skin conditions
- Using woollen or synthetic tight clothing
- Staying indoors esp in AC for long durations (as it reduces the humidity in the air)
- Stress
- Poor sleep
- Smoking and Alcohol
- Underlying diseases like sugar, Thyroid, liver and kidney diseases
- Iron deficiency esp in kids and females

Do not smoke, consume alcohol.
Do not consume spicy chilly oily food
Avoid excessive AC use
Drink lots of water, esp coconut water
