Hi, Depends on how long have you been suffering from IT band syndrome? As you already know the diagnosis of your pain means you have taken some treatment but it is recurrent? As females are more prone to this condition because of physiological genu varum what can be done is stretching it and strengthening the muscles that are attached to IT band. You may do exercises that are not involving much of knee movements. Weight loss is a combination of healthy diet and correct exercise program that builds lean muscles and increases your metabolism. Has to be a natural and sustainable way. So that your results remain forever. Just doing cardio or HIIt will give temporary results. You need to plan strength training and cardio and sufficient rest days to prevent muscle loss.
