Is teeth cleaning good
Is teeth cleaning good as I have read somewhere that during teeth cleaning the outer layer of the teeth is rubbed due to which it become weak and sensitivity increases. I'm having little cavity and dentist has suggested for a cleaning once. What should I do.

- One should get the teeth cleaning done every 6 months to maintain good oral hygiene because it not only promotes healthy gums but moreover it stops gum disease and fights bad breath. - After scaling is completed, you may experience slight discomfort around the teeth for several days and increased sensitivity to hot and cold (and sometimes sweets) for up to one-week duration. This is a normal course of healing. - The sensitivity which occurs after cleaning can be managed by applying anti-sensitive toothpaste (Vantej or Sensodent KF) and by warm saline rinses. - For cavities, please visit your nearby Dentist and get the restorations done.
Next Steps
Visit a nearby Dentist and get the scaling and restorations done if required.

cleaning doesn’t remove tooth outer layer. It’s because of your improper brushing there is constantly deposition of food on and and around your teeth which are initially soft later becomes hard just like the sedimentation you see in the sea something like that happens inside mouth too. And this hard deposits makes your tooth surface rough so always go for proper polishing after tooth cleaning. You should go for tooth cleaning in 3 months if it’s too bad or you can go in 6 months or 1 year for regular dental checkup.
