Is surgery required
The doctor has suggested to get it operated. Is surgery and putting plates required? Can't I get heal by only plaster. Please help

Closed reduction and above elbow plaster cast must be attempted. If check x-ray is satisfactory, surgery should be avoided.

This definitely needs surgery. This is called fracture of necessity It needs plate and screws. To get the fracture healing nicely.
