Long time use of any medication is not good for health. You can eat Ajmoda , jeera for digestion. Take a walk for 45min after meal. Drink warm water for better digestion. For further evaluation and treatment you can consult me on practo

1.5 years is a long time to take any medicine. You can resort to natural ways for improving digestion like using dry ginger boiled water  , ajwain boiled water etc. Avoid late night dinner, excess sweets, take fibre rich food. Any medicine for a long term can cause side effects. Your body is capable of doing things, and need support only when it is weak. Not for a long term.
