Is it true they are uncomfortable
Is it true that female psychologists may feel uncomfortable treating male patients with compulsive masturbation? Most psychologists seem to be women, and I have a compulsive masturbation problem that I want to seek therapy for. I’m wondering if female psychologists generally feel uncomfortable discussing or treating this kind of problem with male patients, or if they are trained to handle sexual/compulsive-behaviour issues professionally. I’d appreciate hearing from psychologists or people who have had similar experiences. So I should meet male psychologists?

It can vary by individual, not gender - some professionals may be more comfortable with certain topics than others. Best to ask directly or switch if it doesn’t feel right

Your concern can be well treated by an expert Sexologist who is a good psychologist. The choice of gender depends on your comfort. You can prefer male Psychologist or female. It seems to be a psychosexual obsession leading to compulsive masturbation and other psychological issues. It needs to be treated asap otherwise it may get complicated and can affect your personal and sexual life. It can be well treated with counseling sessions and homeopathic medicine effectively and without any side effects. It needs to be addressed in a holistic approach for complete recovery. You need an expert Sexologist who is a good homeopathic physician and psychologist.
Next Steps
I have been working as a sexologist, homeopathic physician and psychologist for the last 17 years of experience. You can contact me through an online appointment for further assistance.

Yes, female psychologists can and do work with male clients around sexual and compulsive behaviours. I’ve personally worked with several such concerns, and therapy is approached professionally and without judgement. Ultimately, it also depends on your comfort level with the psychologist.
Next Steps
If you’re comfortable, you can book a session with me. We can discuss the compulsive behaviour, understand what is maintaining it, and work on practical strategies at your pace.

No, not all female psychologists can be uncomfortable, but few of them may be, discuss this with counsellor clearly before taking a session, choose according to your gender preference too.
