Both antibiotics belong to different classes. Both are excellent options for ear infections. Hence, It’s difficult to compare them and their strength.
Your course of Augmentin 625mg of 2 days and 5 days was clearly insufficient.
My advice would be -
Please take the medicines prescribed by the ENT specialist, exactly as prescribed, correct doses and timings. Please complete the full course of the antibiotics. And review with your doctor as soon as you finish your course to check for remission.
Hope this helps.
