No before planning ivf u do not need hsg
As fr ivf patency of tubes I'd not required
It's before planning iui hsg is required
Other option fr checking tubal patency is
Ssg. Sonosalpingography

HSG is to test the patency of tubes as to know the reason fr infertility
HSG is not necessary before IVF .

Diagnostic laparoscopy with chromopertubation cn be done under GA
Saline infusion sonography cn be done
