Is cleft palate surgery successful
I am a mother of 3 months baby boy and read about cleft palate. I was very curious to know that will surgery give permanent results? Is the cleft palate surgery successful? Will it be corrected in 1 surgery or more will be needed? Is there any other treatment required even after surgery? Also can surgery be avoided and alternative medicines be tried for cleft palate?

It is advisable to get Surgery done to repair the cleft palate for long term rehabilitation of the patient. If 1 Surgery or more is required depends on the case and severity. No alternative medicines have proven successful for cleft palate
