Is Alopecia areta contagious
Hii Doctors One of my friend is suffering from patchy type hair loss..His head scalp is full of "PATCHES LIKE A COIN"...SHE doesn't allow eat me with her..now a days we aren't hanging out together...I asked her why ...Then she replied me she has ALOPECIA ARETA n she doesn't want to transfer the AA to me...I wanna ask is AA contagious or not BcZ m depressed..

No...it's not... however treatment available for AA.. for accurate diagnosis and treatment do direct online consultation with photos

If that is alopecia areata only as a confirmed diagnosis...Than NO...its not contagious. To confirm diagnosis and understand etiopathogenesis and treatment in detail consult Dermatologist.
