Irregular periods

Last 3months I faced irregular period, I got period twice a month..last month went doctor she prescribed femilon.last month period flow average only.after taking pill periods came correctly but flow is very lightly. And doctor already told nxt month also u should continue femilon .
but my doubt is very light period.. this time..so can i take 5th day femilon or not.pls any one guide me

That's a side effect of femilon
It reduces the amount n duration of the periods
Ideally should be taken from day one of the periods
