Intrusive thoughts
As long as I can remember I used to have intrusive thoughts thinking over and over again the same thing. Some times these thoughts are related to compulsions or sometimes just thoughts which don't stop. This intensified after a break up with a girl intensifying my depression too along with career pressure. I practice exposure and response prevention & meditation. Is there a cure for me?

It is looked like obsessive thoughts but not an typical OCD. Cause effect relationship is clear. So, there is a very good scope for cure and your QOL (Quality Of Life) would definitely be improved. You are trying to do exercise i.e. thought controlling exercises, while you mind is  already hampered by uncontrolled thought process. So, its helpfulness is doubtful.
Next Steps
Consult with Councellor/ Clinical Psychologist/ Psychiatrist/ Homoeopathic Psychiatrist
Health Tips
Homoeopathic mode of treatment is a better option for such condition, where cause effect relationship is clear. So, it is better to consult with a homoeopathic psychiatrist. Practice of exposure and response prevention with meditation are good things but these responses or results should be monitored by someone else not only by you.

Yeah,  it is difficult to handle your thoughts after your breakups. Have you tried to visit a Counsellor to share your emotions after your breakup!!! If not I would suggest  you to do that,  so that ,even if there are other unresolved issues can also be discussed and resolved.
