Many vitamin injections when given via intramuscular route acts as a depot by forming a viscous mass in the muscles. It dissolves slowly and keep on fulfilling the requirements for quite some time. Depends on if it was a Vit B12 supplement or some other Vitamin. Consult with proper history for better management and apt advice.
