Inflamed papillae tongue
I've been having since December a red patch in the middle of the tongue, which is evident as my tongue is lately always white. In there, are some enlarged taste buds, of which one in particular inflated and deflates during time. This reddish part of tongue looks like it has been cleared with a brush, as it lacks the same "hairy" filaments which are around. Im currently using oral terbinafine for an onicomicosis and esomeprazolum since two years. Can that swollen taste bud be cancer?
