I have a 6.5 month old baby, her head still has that soft skin, how much time it takes to get filled. Do I need to apply something over it.

It’s normal ,should not worry about it and it takes around 1yr to 18 Months to become hard....
Next Steps
Just watch for its bulge /depression if it is so consult a pediatrician

The "soft skin" or anterior fontanelle will close by 12 to 18 months. No need to apply anything over it
