Please give only breast feeding You have not mentioned reason for starting formula feed There is enough breast milk for the baby More the baby suckles more milk will be produced .Feed the baby with breast feeding for sufficient time ,so that baby gets both foremilk and hind milk .Do the burping well after the feed .Swallowing air while taking feed is responsible for regurgitation through mouth and also nose This is more common in formula feeding given by bottle. Hiccups is more common with formula feeding .it is self limiting
Do burp after every feed.. After burp it comforts the baby and can hv a good sleep and avoid evenings infant colic.. Milk coming out of nose and mouth is normal. But it will b reduced if u burp after every feed..
Hello mom
Make sure you are burping the child, after every feed, burp for 10 minutes atleast, even of baby doesnt burp its ok,
In thos case make sure baby shouldnt aspirate, iccasionally milk may come oyt due to reflux, give child head up position while sleeping, in tbis case.
Formula feeding can lead to over feeding which can cause vomiting. Otherwise also breastfeeding is safe and sufficient for baby. So give breastmilk only
This is very common till 3 months of age
BURP him well for longer duration
Give feeds at 3 hrs
Keep him elevated while sleep
This will decrease reflux as well
Please don’t give formula feed
Give only breast feed
Mixing both milks will cause indigestion and regurgitation through the nose and mouth
Burping should be done even for breast milk
Hiccups are common in formula feed
It is self limiting
If child completed one month give feed only on demand. Don’t feed every 2 or 3 hrs. And put the baby on shoulders for 10 to 15 Minutes even after that burp is not coming don’t worry . Sometimes milk will come from nose don’t worry .Make sure they don’t aspirate .
I would recommend just to give breast milk. Regurgitation of feeds is common in infants, but milk coming through nose is significant. So proper handling and feeding techniques is important as there is risk of aspiration of feeds. Hiccups may be a normal variant in a baby.
you are over feeding your baby .. dont give formula feed just breastfeed him .. that also maintain a gap of 2 hrs betwen each feed.. milk coming out from nose ( vomiting ) can be dangerous for the baby .. child may aspirate the milk which can be life threatening.. so please dont overfeed and stop formula milk immediately.. breastfeed is the best for your child
Hi I can fully understand your worry.
It's ok for baby to spert out some feed.. But we need to know other details to assess whether it completely normal.. I would advice you take a online consultation as baby is really small..
