IGE is 206
Hi can anyone please suggest me my IGE level is 206 in lab report I am already facing issue of urticaria since October medication is going on. Please suggest what is the next step or medication needs to be change or anyother test is needed.

1. You have not mentioned what medicine you are taking? Please do.
2. If it is second generation antihistamines then raise its dose slowly to a maximum of four times till you get relief. You may even get relief by doubling the dose.
3. If it fails take Omalizumab injection. It costs about ₹7000. But it gives relief in chronic urticaria.
4. Lastly, if even this fails take Cyclosporine under medical blood monitoring.

Hi. I check your reports.
IgE total level is high . But request few tests more I.e LFT, KFT,urine R/M , hba1c, Blood sugar PP, blood sugar fasting.
Drug and veg / non veg foods allergy.
Reply soon.
Till then you can take Tab. Atarax 25 mg at bed time. X 10 days .

IgE level 206 is mildly elevated. this value alone does not explain the condition completely. Most chronic urticaria cases r not purely d/t allergy and r often idiopathic.
sometimes immune system imbalance.

Ahigh total IgE level means your immune system is overreacting but itself is not a specific diagnosis..
Elevated IgE is most frequently triggered by one of the following conditions
Allegic Asthma,eczema ,Atopic dermatitis and food allergy
Immune dysfunction..
You should consult to IMMUNOLOGIST to determine the underlying causes and create a targeted treatment plan
