I have been diagnosed with mild hearing loss - 33 dB in my right ear and 26 dB in my left ear after an Audiogram done at Amplifon. My consulting ENT doctor after seeing the report has prescribed a medicine- Absolut 3G. I want to know if this is the correct treatment and also are there any side effects of taking this medicine?

Hello. The hearing loss that you have is significant hearing loss. There are 2 types of hearing loss one is due to the ear drum and hearing bones and other due to hearing organ and nerve. You need to post the pic of the hearing test for one to know the type of hearing loss. If the problem is due to ear drum or hearing bones then it can be corrected surgically . If the problem is due to the nerve then it can't be corrected surgically but you need to take precautions like avoiding medication that can harm the ear and loud sound exposure.
