Pigmentation or darkness of the skin can be because of many causes. Suntan, being overweight that is sedentary lifestyle, some pigmentation disorders like acanthosis nigricans for melasma, nutritional deficiency etc are some conditions. unless I take proper history and examine the affected area, a diagnosis cannot be made. please don't do any home remedies because if they go wrong it can worsen the problem. There is no role of b12 in pigmentation

Hello dear. Spots around mouth can be due to acne, perioral dermatitis, angular cheilitis etc. Vit B12 deficiency causes acral hyperpigmentation.
Nothing to do with spots around your mouth. But if you still want to check, go ahead.

Hello,
Vitamin B12 deficiency can definitely lead to periorbital hyper pigmentation. But I would suggest that you directly start with supplements as there is no harm in taking vitamin B12 especially when you follow a vegetarian diet.
But you also need to share other details as well as pictures for clarity of your spots as we also need to rule out other causes like post wax folliculitis if you opt for upper lip waxing, post inflammatory hyper pigmentation, sun spots, drug induced etc
