I been suffering from some symptoms like chest pain since long, so my cardiologist advised some blood test. other inflammation markers like CRP and ESR came out to be normal, but homocystine was high, then vitamin B12 was tested, which was high normal around 330
I have been now taking homo tablet for the past two months .. I want to know, shall I get a retest?

It seems you are experiencing elevated homocysteine levels and associated symptoms. A homocysteine level of 31 is considered high and can be linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular issues, including heart attacks. It’s good that you are already under the care of a cardiologist and are taking medication.
In general, elevated homocysteine can be managed with vitamin supplementation, particularly B12, B6, and folic acid. Since you’ve been taking homo tablets for the past two months, it may take some time to see a significant change in your levels.
It is advisable to get a retest to monitor your homocysteine levels, especially after a few months of treatment. This will help determine if your current management is effective. Additionally, lifestyle changes such as a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can also support your treatment.
