I had a talus fracture in 26 March..itz undisplaced type 1..am on cast since then.my pain was subsided but again am experiencing pain at the fracture site..why is it so?when I will be able to walk and when my cast will be removed?

Pain at fracture site may be due to dependent swelling.
Next Steps
Keep the affected leg up over pillows while lying down and over a footstool while sitting.
Continue active toe movements.
Can take paracetamol for pain.
Cast removal at 6 weeks.
Talus fractures require long time to unite usually upto 12 weeks. Cast may be removed now to start gentle ankle exercises. Weight bearing should be delayed for another 6 weeks and then started gradually
