You feel anxious when the common cold or some physical problems occur related to ear, nose etc. you can consult a PHYSICIAN first to rule any sinusitis or persistent physical illness that is bothering you. After that you can also consult a Psychiatrist after ruling out any significant physical problems by physician for handling anxiety. It is treatable and you will be fine
Hi
What you’re experiencing sounds like sensory-triggered panic or health-related anxiety. Your brain may be interpreting any temporary “loss of control” — like blocked nose, muffled hearing, or memory lapses — as a danger signal, which then triggers panic-like sensations such as suffocation or fear.
This pattern is common in panic disorder or somatic OCD, where your mind becomes hyper-alert to body changes and overreacts. The good news is, this can be managed well with CBT and exposure work that helps your brain unlearn these fear responses.
