Hi Dr my mother in law has been suggested to undergo Hysteroscopic guided endometrial biopsy, may I know what it is? Whether it is just a biopsy test or there will be D&C as well before testing to remove unwanted cells.

Hysteroscopy is a newer advancement which helps us to see inside the uterus and exactly take biopsy of the affected area instead of going in Blind.
So yes vision guided Biopsy of the endometrial lining is going to be taken
