Hypothyroidism
Sir/madam I have detected hypothyroidism t3, t4 are normal and tsh 24.now started throxine 100mcg .i have to go through a dental surgery with local anesthesia. Can i go for surgery or i have to wait to come TSH normal.

You can go for surgery if your blood sugar levels are normal.

If it's an emergency surgery then can be done as u said T4 is normal.. But postoperatively need monitoring of bp, glucose, electrolytes.. If it's elective surgery then it would be preferable to delay it till tsh is normal'
