Hypertensive crisis
Since Yesterday evening his blood pressure is raised to 200/140 mm hg , pr-60
Breathing rate is normal, rbs- 200
By mistake he had taken overdose of ibuprofen the earlier day given by his dentist.
He was nauseas and felt dizzy for sometime but later on he told he's fine.
His only one complaint is mild left sided chest pain which is not radiating to any other region.
He's also undergone angioplasty before 3 years.
Due to the present covid19 scenario it's hard to approach to any private care physicians .
Please let me know how to manage this and whether hospitalization is necessary .
He's taking his medications for diabetes, hypertension,hearth health, etc.

I would like to know what medicines he is taking for hypertension.. His BP is of concern. Should be brought down.. Amlodipine wil be safe as we don't know other parameters. 5 mg twice a day to start with.. Once we know renal function can start other medications for BP. Please get a ecg done for chest pain.

If BP does not come down u would need to contact a physician.. Better to get a ecg done
