It can be due to poor posture which leads to development of oedema locally at base of neck because of poor muscle function . You need to strengthen your neck muscles , shoulder muscles and upper back muscles and improve your neck posture.

Hump can be due to poor posture & due to forwarded neck posture also it develops. With image I can make it clear whether rounded shoulders I mean whether scapulae are protracted or not.

Anyway in this case pectoralis major, upper chest muscle stretching, upper back extension & can add dynamic cupping with medium suction.
Visit a manual physiotherapist. It is usually correctable to some extend. It usually occurs with some rotation in the junction in the neck and upper back.
Exercises would help to reduce stiffness
Hump is due to so many reasons,it might be due to poor posture, maintain proper posture and ergonomics if ur sitting for a longer hours.
