Humerus bone fracture
Hi, My humerus bone got fractured into 3 parts. It happens before 3 weeks ago.I have latest images of x Ray also. According to doctor,gap between broken Bone should be filled with new bone. As my age is 33, is it possible to fill the gap at this age?

This is fracture shaft humerus with butterfly fragment. As far as your age concerned it will unite comfortably, most probably malunite, but this will not affect functional outcome. It will remodel with time.

If it's 3 weeks since your fracture and If it's an x ray at this 3 weeks, Considering your age, your requirements, I will suggest you should go for operation at a good hospital with good surgeon . Thanks a lot You can consult me for more information and advice through practo.

There is a deformity at the fracture site. So even if the gap is filled, there will be a bend at the fracture site.

It is a comminuted fracture with a large butterfly (seperate) fragment. Better to get it operated. It is going to displace with just a plaster.
