I think you are confused between Amblyopia (lazy eye) and Squint (deviated eye). Lazy eye is treated at home only and there are no surgeries for Lazy eye. However, the amount and type of squint decides whether it needs surgery or not.
Treating Lazy eye after an age of 20years is next to impossible.
