How does MTP work?
I'm a 22 yr old female who will be having MTP done by pills (have consulted a doctor in my area, and will be going to get the meds tomorrow after my ultrasound, etc)
I am curious and a little anxious so I wanted to know how the meds work and how long the whole thing takes as well as how effective it is.
I'm approximately 5 weeks pregnant and will be getting it done tomorrow.

At 5 weeks medical abortion under supervision of a doctor and ultrasound localization of pregnancy has a success rate of approximately 95%
The whole process would take about 10 days
The medicines work by contracting the uterus and expelling the pregnancy
You will have to repeat an ultrasound on day 11 to confirm if the process of abortion is complete
