My partner has been diagnosed with hepatitis B and i came back negative. I know he doesnt take drugs or hasnt been travelling is it possible it was picked up by sexual contact with someone else

There are various routes of transmission of hepatitis B such as sexual route, blood transfusion, sharing needles with infective person. Hence it is possible that it could be picked from somewhere else.
