Hello ,
Brushing daily and twice a day removes the biofilm /plaque effectively. However sometimes plaque that remains undisturbed for a while causes it too harden and form calculus/ tartar which isn't possible to remove only by brushing
Getting your teeth checked and cleaned maybe atleast once a year can be a good practice to keep tartar away and increase oral hygiene without causing gum problems for future
