High MCH and MCV on blood test
I showed high MCH and MCV on a recent blood test and I'm wondering if this could be contributing to problems I'm having with weight gain. I'm also wondering if this could cause any issues with altitude sickness. I am climbing Kilimanjaro next month

MCH & MCV are indices of anemia. Kindly share values of hemoglobin, Hematocrit, along with MCH and MCV . If you are having anemia, you will have difficulty in gaining weight. In high altitude climbing the body undergoes a process called acclimatization. The changes of acclimatization will not be optimal if you have anemia and you may develop mountain sickness more commonly. Consider getting evaluated and treated for anemia before going for high altitude climbing.
