Many complete ACL tears can be managed well with activity modification and physiotherapy. However, ACL reconstruction surgery may be needed if: - There is sensation of instability/"give away" in the knee - Knee feels uncomfortable while doing daily activities - You want to maintain the high level of activity that you are used to
Next Steps
Follow an ACL rehabilitation program
Health Tips
Avoid high flexion activities and strenuous activities like running and jumping
