High CRP - Reason Unknown
I would like to know that can an infected Cyst or in brief a Pilonidal Sinus Disease be the reason for a very high rate of CRP (C-Reactive Protein)? I recently developed high fever after having a sore throat. When checked with the doctor on blood test, it was discovered that my CRP level is 44.8 mg/L whereas it is supposed to be below 0.6 mg/L. Further investigations are being conducted but it just ran through my mind that could this be the reason? I do not have a severe throat inflammation.
