For a cholesterol-lowering diet, focus on consuming foods rich in soluble fiber (oats, barley, fruits, vegetables, and legumes), plant-based protein (nuts, seeds, and soy), healthy fats (avocados, olive oil, and fatty fish), and whole grains, while limiting or avoiding dietary cholesterol, saturated fats (red meat, full-fat dairy), trans fats (processed snacks), and added sugars.
