Hiatus hernia
I have been facing difficulty in swallowing for 6months sometimes heart burns.My endoscopy report is small hiatus hernia and short segment Barrett's oesophagus .please suggest me. Regards

Small hiatus does not cause severe problem..,but Barrett's esophagus is not good sign...can't leave without treatment...so take medicine for sometime and repeat endoscopy....if symptoms persist or Barrett's increases go for corrective surgery...

Diet and lifestyle are important factors. Avoid stress. Avoid spicy foods coffee tea cold drinks alcohol smoking junk food etc Physical activity improves SYMPTOMS. Further medicines help.
