Hiatus hernia
After having an endoscopy the findings were; large-ish sliding hiatus hernia with GOJ at 34cm. Minor reflux changes above hiatus hernia. What does this mean, is this something I should be concerned about?

Hiatus hernias often causes symptoms such as fullness of abdomen, reflux, upper abdominal burning etc of varying degrees. Hiatus hernias cannot be definitively managed with medicines although these symptoms can be reduced temporarily depending on the severity. If the symptoms are too bothersome, then, hiatus hernias can be treated surgically through Laparoscopy by procedure called Fundoplication which is definitive. This procedure gives the patients substantial relief from their bothersome symptoms occurring on a daily basis.
