A month ago (August 28) I had unprotected intercourse with my partner. Had greenish discharge and flu-like symptoms along with constant tingling sensation in my vagina and labia. Was prescribed doxycycline, the greenish discharge is gone but the tingling sensation and inconsistent mild pain in the right side of the pelvic region is present.
On (Oct 1) I gave blood test for different STD and came positive for HSV-2.
HERE ARE THE BLOOD TEST RESULTS
IgM = 1.86 Au/mL
(. Reference value < 6Au/mL : negative; 6-10 Au/mL: intermediate; >10: positive)
IgG = 30. 47 Au/mL
( reference value <9 Au/mL: negative; >13 Au/mL: positive)
Does this mean that I got infected with HSV-2 in August?
