Hepatitis B+
Hello Doctor,  I'm married and hepatitis B+. I started taking TAF 25mg from 23rd Aug. My Gastro doctor didn't explained things well and just asked me to start TAF and visit after 3months. So for better understanding, I'm asking question here.  How long I need to take this? Will this medicine reduces the viral load? Is my liver cells being damaged by the virus at present? The Lft parameters were in the normal range. The DNA viral load before starting the medicine was 37000 IU/ml and HBeAg is 0.5 (negative), Anti Hbe is 1.35(positive), HbsAg Quantitative is 2200 AI.  I got my wife checked for Hep B, Her HbsAG is negative and Anti Hbs is greater than 1000. Is she immune from not catching the Hep B virus from me? Pls advice.  We have a 4yr old son whose vaccination is done timely. Both Hep A&B vaccinations are covered. Is he also immune from Hep B?  What precaution I should keep in mind while enjoying my family life and playing with my son.  Thanks Anshul
