Low height can’t be told by a single height measurement rather it requires growth velocity measurement
Height of child depends on nutritional factors, genetics etc
After puberty girl can increase upto 3 inches
Health Tips
We can periodically monitor her height for atleast a period of 3-6 months
We can ensure that child has adequate protein and calories intake- balanced diet
Adequate sleep - growth hormone is released at night during deep sleep
Adequate physical activity
No micronutrients deficiency
Height and weight both are below 3rd percentile. Direct consultation would be necessary to assess the general appearance, growth velocity, prepubertal changes and if any further tests required.
Hi
Her height is less than 3 rd percentile ( means short stature). Although her height will increase as she haven’t attained puberty yet, but she.needs evaluation.
Greetings
11-year-old girl measuring 128 cm and weighing 22 kg sits significantly below standard growth percentiles for her age group. Her lack of puberty at this stage is medically expected, as her body weight may currently be too low to trigger adolescent development. Her potential for a major height increase remains highly favorable because her growth plates will stay open until she fully enters puberty.Rather than waiting, it is highly recommended to consult a pediatrician now to evaluate her growth trend and nutritional status.A specialist can run blood panels, check her bone age via a simple X-ray, and investigate potential underlying growth delays.
