Hi, If your brother has been experiencing a severe headache for five days and has had a CT scan that returned normal results, it's important to explore the possibility of a tension-type headache or a migraine, especially if there's no clear physical cause. Sometimes, headaches can be linked to stress, anxiety, or other psychological factors, which is why the doctor may have suggested consulting a psychiatrist. These types of headaches are often manageable and treatable through a combination of therapy, stress management techniques, lifestyle changes, and sometimes medication. It's essential for your brother to follow up with the psychiatric consultation, as mental health professionals can provide strategies to cope with stress and anxiety that may be contributing to his headaches. With the right support and treatment, many individuals find relief and can effectively manage their symptoms. Encourage him to address both his physical and emotional well-being for a comprehensive approach to his recovery.

Yes, it is possible to treat or manage his condition effectively. Since his CT scan is normal, his headaches might be related to psychological factors such as stress, anxiety, depression, or even tension-type headaches, which are common. Migraines and somatic symptom disorders (where emotional distress manifests as physical pain) could also be possibilities. A psychiatrist will assess his symptoms, mental health history, and lifestyle to determine the cause. Treatment options may include therapy, medication, stress management techniques, or a combination of these. If needed, a psychologist can also help with behavioral strategies to manage headaches. It’s important that he follows up with the psychiatrist as recommended. If his headache worsens or new symptoms appear (like vision changes, nausea, or neurological issues), consulting a neurologist again would be advisable.

It can be a cluster headache or migraine. The cause needs to be ruled out immediately to address the issue. It can be well treated with homeopathic medicine and counseling sessions effectively. You need an expert Homeopathic physician who is a good psychologist. It needs to be addressed in a holistic approach for complete recovery.

I have been working as a Homeopathic Psychiatrist and Counseling Psychologist for the last 17 years. You can contact me through an online appointment for further assistance

Hi Thanks for reaching out. If the physical health reports are normal then your brother could have tension headache which is headache caused by stress. Has your brother been feeling stressed or anxious lately. Has he been drinking enough water and is he having a well balanced diet? Certain lifestyle factors can also cause headache. If the headache is still there then you can take another option from a physician or neurologist. If the physical health reports are normal your brother can consult a psychiatrist and psychologist. A psychologist will determine if stress or certain lifestyle factors are causing headache.
Next Steps
Take another opinion from doctor. If the physical health reports are normal consult a psychiatrist and psychologist.

Hi, I appreciate that you reached out with your concern. Since the CT scan is normal, the headache could be related to stress, anxiety, or even psychosomatic symptoms linked to mental health. A psychiatrist can assess whether psychological factors like anxiety, depression, or stress are contributing to his condition. If the cause is psychological, it is treatable with therapy, lifestyle changes, and, if needed, medication.

Hi Severe headaches can be caused by stress. Ask him if he is going through stress. If he is avoiding something in his life and is troubling him constantly. Severe headaches can also be caused by physiological change like - blood Pressure or eyesight. Notice his screen time. U can get it checked to rule out this too. If it is stress, get a psychological help asap

We need to understand what is bothering him internally.. Maybe something or someone  or some situation he is not able to accept and overcome it.. If medically all the parameters are positive, it could be due to some internal mental condition as above..
