Hba1c test
Hi doctors, In a health check I have noticed that my HBA 1C level is 6%. Average glucose is 126 However, random blood sugar level(it was 2 hours from breakfast) is 80 which is way normal. I'm little confused here as there is no sugar spike in random blood sugar level but hba1c shows pre diabetic. Please help!

Hello there Im a Diabetologist. Your random sugar is normal. But your 3 months of average sugar (hba1c) is in prediabetic range. Which is between 5.7 to 6.5 mg/dl. No need to start medication for first 3 months. Do diet exercise surya namaskar
