Hello Doctor,
I am an 18-year-old male with gradual hair thinning for the past few years. Hair fall is usually less than 50 hairs per day but occurs during bathing and combing. My hair has become thinner, especially around the front hairline/temples.
I also have dandruff with white and yellow flakes, occasional itching, and mild scalp redness. Ketoconazole shampoo has helped but not completely.
My CBC,
Ferritin,
Vitamin B12, Folate,
Vitamin D, and
Thyroid tests are normal.
Could this be seborrheic dermatitis, early male pattern hair loss, telogen effluvium, or a fungal infection? What further tests or treatment would you recommend? I have attached photos.
Thank you.
